Whether you call him a host, an MC or even a Talkmeister (German) it all means the same thing to Kamary Phillips.  It means leading his audience on a specific journey keeping the watcher interested and engaged along the way.

Kamary Phillips has been a professional on-air host since the launch of the DVtv Network in Germany back in 1999.

Kamary is no stranger to independent, regional and national television and ipTV . He’s made appearances on a variety of talk and music oriented broadcasts including Mtv, DVtv and Style TV to name a few.

Kamary is a Producer as well as an onscreen talent, having created over a dozen lifestyle and entertainment formats which have all been in production at one time or another and copied by many.

“I got into Hosting originally as a means of supplementing my income.  Back then I was an Artist, trying to make a living.  It’s never easy being an artist.  Then, I met this guy on a plane and we got to talking about what we do.  He actually recognized me, funny enough.  When he told me he was a Talkmeister (Host) for some local TV show I’d never heard of, I was like... cool.  Then somehow the topic of money came in to the discussion and then I was like... damn!  Not long after that, I had my agent looking to book me around for anything interesting.”

Over the years Kamary has found himself quite at home within the reality TV genre and frequently produces short runs for a variety of local and regional broadcasters.  Kamary adds, “I guess I still have a longing for some kind of really big, national success.  I’d like to make it in America sometime before I’m no longer interesting, ha!”

Kamary Phillips is a dual national, American and German citizen.  Which certainly explains why he spends most of his time working abroad.  “I’m much more connected in Europe I must say.  In the States, very few people know who the hell I am nor what I’ve done.  Kind of a bummer but hey, what do you expect?  I haven’t put the time in there but that’s all changing slowly.  I’m intent upon finding or creating a really interesting format for American audiences.  I have more than a few in mind.  I just need an open partner to share the production with.  That’s next on my list.”

Kamary generally swings between Vermont, Atlanta and Amsterdam.
