This emotional story is based on the actual journal of Kasey Jones, a struggling American musician turned prisoner after being arrested, charged and sentenced within the German justice system for a crime he did not commit. The tale revolves around Kasey’s unique friendship with veteran gypsy convict Tschabo Pfeifer. Working together with Tschabo, Kasey masters the unwritten ethics and morals of prison life while Tschabo experiences a level of true friendship that he’s never known before. Their entrusting bond serves them both well as they find themselves tangled in a web of drugs, greed and corruption potentially threatening their mutual quest for freedom.
